I agree and it is time to speak out. We all need to learn not to be intimidated into silence by the party of hate and grievance. Thanks for the shout out. I am so looking forward to moving forward. Watching Kamala speak to the teachers union was also electrifying for me. I feel like we’ve all received an influx of fresh air and are able to breathe better. I intend to do everything I can to support her. I donated to her campaign immediately upon her endorsement by Biden. I want to live in a country that values the potential of its people, and I hope there will be a major housecleaning in November up and down the ballot.

Hi Alene,

We as a country desperately need to move forward. And this can't happen with the same old, same old Republican politicians, who spew hateful rhetoric and want to strip us all of our rights. This party wants us to move backward, and the American people deserve to look forward after the eight years of hell we've been put through.

Thank you for sharing your insights. Your post on Kamala was electrifying as well.

Love this - and I agree whole-heartedly! My husband was watching the "White Dudes for Harris" zoom last night and one of the speakers said something along the lines of if you need to know how to pronounce her name, it's pronounced "Madam President". Great line!

Hi Beth,

I am feeling hopeful again, and that feels so good. I hadn't fully realized how heavily the last eight+ years have been weighing on me. It's easy to become numb to the noise, division, name calling - all of it. I think VP Harris can win. I really do. She's been like a breath of fresh air. Electrifying is exactly what some of her speeches have been.

And it's been nice to not hear any more talk about Biden's age. The media was fixated on that for so long. I bet he's actually relieved to be out of the race now. Funny how no one is talking much about Trump's age and mental acuity.

Everyone needs to speak up this go around. So, thank you for the post.

Hi Nancy,

I loved your latest post on the collective lightness we feel with Kamala Harris running for president. Like you, I have felt the weight of the last eight years, and it has seemed like there was no end in sight. Like you say, Harris is a breath of fresh air.

If I were Biden, I'd be relieved to not be running. So much stress. We unfortunately live in an ageist society. Yes, why aren't enough people worried about Trump becoming the president, given his age and, worse yet, his mental state. Something is seriously wrong with him, especially the fact that he wants to turn the U.S. into an autocracy. That should be enough to scare us.

Thank you for your comment and for your shout-out on your post.
