Pressing pause is exactly what you need to do Beth. I can tell you as a fellow sufferer of migraines, this is serious. Withdrawing into a quiet place to simply be will do wonders for you. Sending you healing vibes and tons of love my friend. 💙🦋🥰
I think many of us are much better at recognising when someone else needs to rest than we are at giving ourselves the same permission. There can be such a strong pull to keep going, even when our bodies are clearly asking us to stop. I loved your framing of “pressing pause” rather than seeing rest as somehow falling behind. I’m so glad to hear that the rest helped and that you’re feeling better x
I love your fluffy white clouds! I hope painting them gave you some relief. So sorry that you have been in such pain, Beth. It’s good you have medication to help but not fun to have those side effects. Rest. Rest. And rest some more my friend. And make some more fluffy white clouds. Maybe a whole painting of just fluffy white clouds just for fun?
"Embrace rest." Yes, and no guilt! A big part of the art of self care! Your clouds look better and fuller to me.
Rest up and know that nothing lasts forever. You will feel better and more refreshed, ready to get back to the satisfying work you do. Sending hugs and well wishes. xoxo
I so appreciate your words, Marilea. I spent yesterday resting. I love when you say "Yes, and no guilt!" You are right; guilt has no place in self-care.
I feel much better today. I so appreciate your support and caring. Thank you, friend. ❤
I am so sorry you are suffering from migraines. They can be so debilitating and zap you from enjoying life. Wishing you peace in the coming days. Loving the clouds.
Beth, I’m so sorry you’ve been suffering from migraines. I hope they ease up and leave you alone soon. I’m looking forward to seeing your painting evolve. I love your clouds! Wishing you relief from the pain and nausea STAT!

Hello Beth, I’m sorry that you’re feeling the shit of it all

Hi Susan,
Thank you so much for your kindness. I spent yesterday resting, and it has done me a world of good.
I love painting clouds, and yes, a painting of just fluffy white clouds is warranted. The thing about clouds, is that no two clouds are the same!
Just like people, right? 😊
Take care Beth, I suffered migraines as part of childhood epilepsy, they certainly are debilitating. Rest well, with the clouds.
Thank you, Simone; I so appreciate it. I'm sorry that you endured so much as a child. I did rest yesterday, and I'm feeling much better.
Thank you Beth, I am glad you're on the improve. 💖

Hi Nancy,
Thank you for your kindness and understanding. Yes, the migraines were quite debilitating, especially on Thursday. I am feeling much better now.
I'm so glad you are enjoying the clouds! I love painting clouds.
I am glad you are taking time for self-care, Beth. Showing us both the Art and the Necessity. Migraines are awful. Rest is paramount!
Hi Robin,
Yes, I completely shut down so I could rest. I now feel a lot better. Thank you for your kindness and caring. I am feeling much better today!
So glad, Beth.
Sometimes we just have to stop, draw in, and rest. I hope your pain eases soon.
The clouds are definitely more fluffy. I like the sense of "drifting" that they evoke.
May this be a good day, one that releases you from suffering. May you know peaceful rest. Sending you love, hugs and goodwill dear friend.
Hi Stephanie,
Thank you for your kind words and wishes. I did have peaceful rest yesterday, and I appreciate all the love.
I'm glad you are enjoying the clouds; yes, I tried for a drifting effect, as well as fluffiness.
I always appreciate you, Stephanie. ❤
